Boarding

Boarding Introduction

Welcome to Animal Care Hospital's Boarding Department.  Thank you for considering Animal Care for your pet while you are away.  We offer boarding facilities for cats, dogs, and exotic animals; both healthy pets and those who need regular medical treatment.  The dog ward contains cages and runs to accommodate all sizes, and it is separated from the cat ward to minimize anxiety.  All pets are exercised daily, and they receive any medical treatments necessary.  We encourage you to bring along any beds, toys, blankets and special food or treats to make your pets feel at home while they stay with us.  Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions that are not answered clearly on this website.  602-955-5757

Frontline helps to prevent you pet from bringing home any fleas and/or ticks.  One topical treatment will protect your pet from both fleas and ticks for up to 30 days.

Bordetella vaccine helps to protect your pet from Kennel Cough.  Kennel Cough is a highly contagious disease that is transmitted through the air when an infected pet coughs or sneezes.  It is recommended this vaccine be given 14 days prior to boarding your pet.

Animal Care Hospital's staff includes a professional groomer who can make your pets look their best! Jo has years of experience working with dogs, and she is familiar with the breed standards for grooming. Many dogs also benefit from her knowledge of basic ear and skin diseases, and she can refer pets which may need to see a doctor. Call us for a grooming appointment with Jo today!

Counseling
One of our most important jobs is to be a resource to answer your questions and to try and provide solutions for your problems. The majority of the counseling we offer concerns pet/breed selection, nutritional information, training or behavioral issues, and euthanasia counseling. Before you select a pet, it is a good idea to learn as much as you can about its habits, needs and care.  We can often help you decide if a particular species or breed will fit your lifestyle. During your pet's life, especially in the early phases, you may have many questions on the best way to raise your pet, and we are always happy to provide suggestions or to recommend literature that can help you along the way. In cases where euthanasia may be appropriate, we try to evaluate all of the options and offer support so that you can make an informed decision that is right for you.
